October Yard of the Month
October Yard of the Month is awarded to Gina and Jonathan Kinlaw of 2905 Funster. The fresh green lawn and shrubs are contrasted by the vibrant purple of the tradescantia and yellow lantana. They are the new kids on the Yard of the Month block this year, but were a first-place finisher in June of 2012. Keep up the good work!
Finishing second are Paul and Marie Stowers of 2505 Coxindale . The yard looks crisp and tidy and the splash of color by the mailbox is a welcoming touch. This is the sixth time the Stowers have finished in the finals since 2012.
Finishing third are Mark and Christy Frisbee of 8308 Yucca. The home was Yard of the Month in March of 2011, then owned by Cindy Perry. Since they arrived in September, the Frisbees have uncluttered the appearance of the front by removing the overgrown arborvitae shrubs by the front door.

September Yard of the Month
Yard of the Month for September is awarded to David and Patricia Rockefeller od 2909 Coxindale. This is a first time award for the Rockefellers, but probably not the last. The newly seeded lawn will look great this Fall against the fresh coat of mulch and seasonal flowers.

In top place for Yard of the Month is Patricia Conroy of 2701 Iman. Her home and yard just keeps looking better and better. This is the fourth time that Patricia has placed in the finals in the last three years, having placed first in July of 2011. Check out the amazing Bermuda lawn.

In top place for Yard of the Month are Graham and Alice Kennedy of 8516 Wheeling. Their home always has a neat manicured look, no matter what the season. This is the sixteenth time that the Kennedys have placed in the finals in the last two years, having placed first in June of 2012. Check out the new summer flowers in the front beds. 1st Place – 2601 Iman

Propelling them to the top is the great floral display in pots along the front steps. We have two First-Time events this month. This is the first time that we have had two nominees right across the street from each other and one of them is a first-time nominee and Yard of the Month winner! Taking First Place for April, 2014 are Bill and Emily Graham of 8517 Wheeling. Their yard just pops with the contrast of the bright pink cherry tree blooms against the rich green lawn.

We have a new Yard of the Month for February, 2014: Mimi Raub of 2708 Coxindale. Her yard shows what can be done with fresh pine straw and plantings. Mimi is no stranger to Yard of the Month, having finished first in May of last year. Congratulations Mimi for another first place finish.
