July Yard of the Month
Yard of the Month for July is awarded to Andrew and Jami Visocan of 8404 Waynesboro. The manicured shrubs, colorful flowers and vibrant green lawn make this a summer knockout. The Visocans are a second time first place winner, having won in May of last year.
Runner up for July are Frederick and Elizabeth Hull of 8501 Bluebill. A second-time runner up, their home shows what you can do in a shady environment.
Finishing third is the home of Stephen and Carly Scholz of 8405 Yucca. Their lawn, converted to zoysia last year, shows it’s a winner when the weather turns sizzling hot.

July 4th Parade and SnoCones at the Pool
Come and join us for the annual 4th of July celebration on Wednesday at 10:00am starting at the clubhouse!
We will meet up with the local heroes from Fire Department No. 15 to celebrate Independence Day and parade around the neighborhood in red, white, and blue!!!
If you don’t feel like walking but want to participate — then feel free to shine up your car or truck, motorcycle, bicycle, or golf carts and cruise with us! If you are driving please come a few minutes early to line up.
The parade will end up at the pool to cool down and continue the fun!!! We’ll have SnoCones for everyone:) Yum! Hope you can make it!!!!

May Yard of the Month
Yard of the Month for May is awarded to Kimberly Hicks of 2504 Sugar Maple. The colorful spring flowers, manicured shrubs, fresh coating of mulch and rich green lawn all combine to show what you can do with a small yard.
When you look at Kimberly’s yard, notice that it is debuting the newly refurbished Alyson Pond Yard of the Month Sign.
Runner up for May are Mike and Sophie Matysiak of 8504 Wheeling. The lawn looks just great and the punch of spring flowers and pruned shrubs add to the neat and trim appearance. A first-time runner up, we look forward to enjoying this yard through the summer.

April Yard of the Month
Yard of the Month for April is awarded to Alice and Graham Kennedy of 8516 Wheeling Drive. The manicured shrubs, colorful flowers and rich green lawn are a treat for everyone to enjoy this Spring.
Twice taking second place and a winner last year, the Kennedy’s yard can always be looked to as an example of great yard care.

Easter Bonanza & Chili Cook Off
Just a quick reminder — Come join me and your awesome community for a day full of food & FUN next Saturday the 31st for the Easter Bonanza & Chili Cook Off!!!! The kids will be thrilled playing in the BOUNCE HOUSE CASTLE (10-2pm), finding treasures on their Easter egg hunt & enjoying the parent/child games!!!
Kids or no kids– Around 11:30ish come on out & we will kick off the first annual CHILI COOK OFF!!! So bring your meanest pot of chili for a chance to win $50!!!! And have a blast!!!! (It’s a blind taste test – so your friends can’t bail you out this time lol:)

February Yard of the Month
Yard of the Month for February is awarded to Sandra Goodwin of 8520 Bluebill Court. The manicured shrubs, fresh coating of mulch and rich green lawn are a welcome sign that Spring is here. As a corner lot, they have twice the frontage to maintain. But it seems that this home always looks great.
Runner up for February and another nicely kept home is Graham and Alice Kennedy of 8516 Wheeling. Coming in third is Jonathan Rodriques of 2505 Sugar Maple.

January Yard of the Month
Yard of the Month for January is awarded to Mary Frances Warren of 8501 Wheeling Drive. The manicured shrubs and green lawn highlight this yard’s appearance.
Second place for January is Jonahan Rodrigues of 2505 Sugar Maple. Third place goes to Paul & Marie Stowers of 2505 Coxindale.

Reminder – Annual Meeting, Wed 1/18
The Alyson Pond Homeowners Association annual meeting will take place tomorrow, Wed 1/18, in the clubhouse.
Please stop by for dessert and refreshments at 6:30, and then stay on for the annual meeting , which will start at 7.
As a reminder, we have several open board positions to fill for the coming year. Serving on the board requires only a minimal time commitment and can make a big difference for the community.
